A Tribute To Women
When I joined Boiron Canada as President and CEO in 2015, I was struck by the remarkable presence of women within the company.
We know that standing out in the business world is about more than just meeting expectations. Yet, women often face additional challenges in making their mark. Even when they demonstrate diligence and follow the rules, they are sometimes overlooked for the most prestigious opportunities and strategic promotions. It became essential to me to support their advancement into leadership positions at Boiron Canada while ensuring that their contributions are fully recognized and valued.
Today, 72% of management positions are held by women at Boiron. They are exceptional professionals who have rightfully earned their place. Each of them, in their unique role, shares the same commitment: Providing Canadian families with effective, useful, safe, and high-quality homeopathic medicines.
Around the world, women must show extraordinary resilience and courage to face challenging realities—whether emotional, familial, economic, or even related to war. While we may acknowledge that they deserve the title of “superheroines,” we too often forget that behind these heroines are human beings first and foremost.
I think of my mother, who grew up in a small village in Eritrea, a country in East Africa devastated by war and poverty. With admirable strength, she emigrated to the south of France, where, as a single mother, she worked multiple modest jobs to give me a better future and a worthy education.
To all these strong and inspiring women, I pay tribute.
Thanks Mom.
